2012@ survival kit

Whenever the disaster coming or not in 2012, i already have the idea to design a building on the water for the living purpose or as a kit evade from the doomsday.

My survival kit will be built above the water, pile foundations are installed under the IBU (it is located at waterlogged site, piling is more stable and provide strong strata than others kind of foundation). Piling can also reduce the reflection of wave water. The piling are made of concrete.

The kit will be in the shape of aerodynamics whereby it has streamline so as to decrease the water frictional force and air friction.

The kit layout basically divide into 2 part, the fins and the middle part. All the structure or framework are made of Artificial Agro Lumber which it is easily to mould into the aerodynamics shape.

For the middle part, the structure will be pitched to allow the water drain down, in other way, this is to reduce the live load so that the pile foundation would not need to withstand extra load.

Well, I will use hand lay-up epoxy hybrid nanocomposite to cover the kit above the lumber framework which it is waterproof, thus I do not have to worry about rusting process due to the high salt content in the seawater. Also, the will be some opening whereby alumina fiber will replace hand lay-up epoxy hybrid nanocomposite on the top of middle part in order to allow the light ray penetrate through the kit as alumina fiber is optically transparent. In this way, electric energy can be save by reduce the use of lamp or bulb. In order to strengthen the kit, Wall pro derived from scrap tire will be install as a layer behind the uppermost layer of the kit, it can absorb loads exerted and thus hydrostatic problem is solved when the water cover the kits and bury them under the water which create high pressure and besides it is very light. Here, I would like to exclude the use of ceiling in order to reduce the weight of kit and also the cost. Meanwhile, all the connecting wires will replace Compositionally Modulated Multilayer (CMM) Coatings due to its good conductivity so that the energy loss can be reduce and more effectively.

Metal will be the joints between the IBU and the smaller kits with a layer of Compositionally Modulated Multilayer (CMM) Coatings consisting of multiple alternate nanolayers of yellow and white miralloys to increase toughness, abrasion resistant and hardness.
